Hours of instruction:

Weekly: three hours of lectures + two hours of exercises (3+2+0)

Goals:

Acquiring knowledge on development of Chemistry in the 19th and the 20th centuries, on establishment and work of educational and scientific institutions, Institute of Chemistry and Serbian Chemical society and presentation of biographies of the most eminent Serbian chemists.

Outcome:

  1. Knowledge related to the development of science and chemistry education in Serbia from the 50's of the 19th century till nowadays.
  2. Knowledge about development of educational and scientific institutions.
  3. Knowledge about most eminent Serbian chemists.

Teaching methods:

Lectures, exploration of the archives of the Chemistry Museum and Archive of Serbia.
