Slavica B. Maletiæ
associate professor, Faculty of Physics, Studentski trg 12, Beograd

Assistants:

Hours of instruction:

Weekly: two hours of lectures (2+0+0)

Goals:

The goal of this course is to introduce students to the selected areas of physics and to show them through various and relevant examples how that knowledge can be applied in chemistry. Acquiring fundamental knowledge and skills in physics enables better and easier understanding of the specialized courses in the subsequent years of studies.

Outcome:

Acquired fundamental knowledge and skills in physics necessary for understanding the material studied in specialized courses in the subsequent years of studies. Developed ability to independently formulate and solve physics problems and to correctly interpret the obtained results.

Teaching methods:

Lectures, experimental demonstrations, selected problems, term papers, projects.

Extracurricular activities:

Homework assignments, finding information regarding the term papers, projects and course material (books, the Internet, etc.).
