The application of the knowledge and skills acquired in biochemical and biotechnical courses with the aim of obtaining products and performing the procedures which are necessary in everyday life. |

15 points (4 hours a week) Syllabus: Students work in teams in order to carry out mini projects of their own choice, such as: the production of beer or wine in a laboratory, bioleaching of copper from off-balance raw materials, bioremediation of the soil contaminated by petroleum and its derivatives, the production of antibiotics and enzymes by streptomycetes, microbial desulfurization of fossil fuels, prebiotics and probiotics, determining the number of bacteriophages, molecular characterization of the strains isolated from the polluted environment. |
