For the start, we will host some essays about Tolkien and his work written by ourselves. We will try to have it both in English and in native (usually Serbian) language, but, please give us time to translate the material, we are not professionals. As a first one, we give you an essay about fire and smiths in Tolkien works. In this text we are dealing with the nature of fire used in Tolkien works and we discuss about various smiths and craftsmen and their nature and connection with well known myths and legends. Somehow in all this, we did elaborate the magic, because Tolkien often denied the existence and use of magic in his work. Now, if you like, here it is... |
