Study level: |
basic academic studies |
Study program: |
Chemistry: 2. year, winter semester, compulsory course |
Teacher: |
Rada M. Baošić, Ph.D. |
Assistants: |
Slađana Z. Đurđić, Ph.D. Mihajlo N. Kulizić Mladen M. Đurđević |
Hours of instruction: |
Weekly: three hours of lectures + two hours of exercises + six hours of labwork (3+2+6) |
Goals: |
During the course, the student becomes familiar with the basic principles of classical methods of quantitative chemical analysis: gravimetry, and volumetry, as well as the way to choose the appropriate method concerning the requirements set during the analysis, as well as the basics of processing and validation of the obtained results. |
Outcome: |
Students are training for method selection and sample analysis with appropriate accuracy and precision, processing experimentally obtained results, and expressing and validating the results. |
Teaching methods: |
Lectures, experimental exercises (group and individual) and theoretical exercises. |
Extracurricular activities: |
After the classes which are organized with the aim of revising the subject matter of the course, students are expected to do problems on their own, to finish group exercises and prepare for the progress tests. |

Lectures: |
0 points (3 hours a week) Syllabus:
|
Exercises: |
10 points (2 hours a week) Syllabus: Theoretical exercises - students do calculation problems and solve problems from certain areas of classical analytical chemistry (gravimetric and volumetric analyses). |
Labwork: |
30 points (6 hours a week) Syllabus:
Experimental part (the maximum number of points - 30): The analysis conducted correctly the first time carries 3 points, each subsequent analysis conducted correctly carries 2 points. Gravimetry analysis conducted correctly the first time carries 6 points, 4 if not accepted |
Colloquia: |
10 points Remarks: The colloquium (maximal points - 10, 5x2) are taken prior the individual analysis. |
