Short description of the project
The proposed project includes: 1) digital recording of exhibits (bottles with chemicals, chemical instruments and equipment) from the Sima Lozanić's legacy (1847-1935), chemist, academician, professor, rector and minister; his legacy is preserved in the Collection of the Greats of Serbian Chemistry, a teaching-scientific unit of the University of Belgrade - Faculty of Chemistry, and 2) creating metadata of recorded objects and storing complete recordings in the repository of the Audiovisual Archive and the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SASA) Digitization Center (hereinafter: AVA SASA). Members of the project team will research and catalog selected objects from the Collection of the Greats of Serbian Chemistry in order to create complete metadata. The objects will be recorded using the most modern methods and equipment for digitization. The results of the project will be publicly available on the AVA SASA website and presented as part of the celebration of the year of Sima Lozanić organized by SASA. The proposed project is part of several years of work on the study of Sima Lozanić's legacy. Employees of the Faculty of Chemistry, members of the Committee for the Celebration of the Year of Academician Sima Lozanić organized by SASA, as well as expert associates of AVA SASA, participate in the project.
