Research areas

  1. Metagenome search for enzymatic activities that have applications in syntheses (MeMEAS project).
  2. Application of machine learning/artificial intelligence to improve the activity of hydrolytic enzymes of interest for biotechnology and environmental protection (e.g. PET-degrading enzymes and enzymes that degrade polymeric pollutants).
  3. Development of methodologies for monitoring the interactions of proteins that have a disordered structure with other proteins, using fluorescent (protein) markers.
  4. Examination of critical protein fragments for the formation of ordered protein oligomers, e.g. virus-like particles.
