Group Members

Research Area

  • To get insight into innate immunity interplay with environmental factors on a model of epithelial cells (Caco2, HEK293, T84) and two-dimensional organoids.
  • Modulation of adaptive immunity to recombinant allergens in allergen-specific immunotherapy.
  • Identification, biochemical and immunological characterization of new allergens as well as production of their recombinant analogues for clinical applications.
  • Production of SARS-CoV-2 virus structural proteins for use in serological tests.
  • Modification of molecular characteristics of natural and recombinant enzymes for use in the food industry and clinical chemistry and for the production of physiologically active compounds as potential therapeutics.

Equipment Used by the Group

The group uses equipment that enables isolation, purification & characterization of proteins (SDS-PAGE system, isoelectric focusing and 2D electrophoresis, immunoblot, automated liquid chromatography system (ÄKTA Purifier)), system for cell cultures (laminar, CO2 incubator, centrifuge with cooling, fluorescence microscope) and basic equipment for recombinant DNA technology (system for nucleic acid electrophoretic, incubator for microorganisms growth).
